
ABOUT JILLIAN
Jillian first fell in love with costume and design when she was a member of the Georgetown Little Theatre's Youth Production Company, a group which allows youth to fully immerse themselves in all elements of theatre production. Her experience lead Jillian to complete her BA (Hons.) in Drama at Queen's University, while also taking supplementary Art History courses to familiarize herself with historical research and trends. During her time at Queen's Drama she Costume Designed seven productions. In 2016, while Jillian started working in Human Resources, she returned back to the Georgetown Little Theatre as an adult member, going on to Costume Design another three productions, as well as Direct, Stage Manage, and act as Head of Make-up for an additional 14 productions respectively.

In 2018 she won the ACTCO award for Achievement in Costume Design - Comedy, for her work on 'Hilda's Yard', and in the subsequent year she received a nomination for Achievement in Costume Design - Comedy for her work on 'Steel Magnolias'. While Jillian continues to work in HR, her passion for Theatre and design continues. Jillian particularly loves researching historical dress, sourcing materials and garments, developing thoughful colour pallets and textures, and collaborating with all members of the production team to achieve the best possible production for audiences.
